We are studying the classification of the living things and in this session children are learning everything about the Fungi Kingdom. To do it we are working with the strategy of “experts groups” inside the cooperative learning methodology.
Expert groups is a grouping strategy in which the
members of the established cooperative groups are reorganized into
"expert" groups containing one member from each group.
The members of the expert group work together to learn
about a part of the fungi Kingdom, then return to their "initial"
groups to share their learning. In this way, the work of the expert groups is
quickly disseminated throughout the class, with each person taking
responsibility for sharing a piece of the total topic.
